Lookalike: indie folk album
My album is streaming on all platforms! I release music under the artist name Lookalike, and my album is called “Too Sensitive,” a phrase which encapsulates a lot of my overthinking personality.
Across ten songs, I’ve written songs that dive deep into my psyche in a way that feels vulnerable and sensitive for me. (Perhaps… Too sensitive?) Sensitivity is underrated, and I wrote these songs around that theme.
I was classically trained in music composition at USC, so I couldn’t resist peppering in the incredible talents of musicians Marnina Schon (Vocals, Violin), Georgia Martin (Cello), and Austin Chanu (Flute, Clarinet). These three musicians give the album such varied and amazing textures, and although last year was a time of solitary work, I can’t wait to continue collaborating with them and other talented friends on the next projects.
I wrote, performed, produced, mixed & mastered this album top to bottom. And while a lot of the time, my face was furrowed like on the album cover, I had so much fun, learned a lot, and created something I’m really proud of.
